I must have been reading too many religious texts to the point that alters my opinions .

And the more i read , the more that i find my knowledge of religions vague despite having a keen interest .

Excerpt from the Anthanasian Creed

"the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God . And yet they are not three Gods , but one God."

Isn't quite very contradicting ?

Some questions :

So if God really exist , did he really go to all the trouble of creating complexities like atoms , genes and so on ? Whatever for ?

Actually sometimes i really doubt the existence of such stuff , because who the hell decides and confirms the existence of such discoveries at all ?

Do time really exist ? When did time start ? I've heard that Time started when the universe was formed , so what happened when all the universe was just a big vast space of blankness with dormant but volatile gases ?

Wait a minute , where do those come from anyway ? God ?

If so , why did he have to resort to such cheemology to create existence ?

Or was it just pure nonsense on the scientists' part ?

And why does God send his people to Hell when he is the one who created them ? They say that we are born with a mind of our own , and it is up to us to decide our eventual fate , but without God , can we even have a mind to think with in the first place ? So it is correct to say that God decides who goes to hell and who goes to heaven even before we were born ?

Anyway.

Till now , i haven't got the slightest idea regarding the difference between Purgatory and Hell.

So who qualifies for Purgatory ( the so called temporal place of punishment ) , and Hell ?

Would one who commits murder in a moment of folly when he was a disillusioned young man but devotes his entire life as a pious christian who abstains from all vices and keeps his thoughts pure to redeem himself until his death be purged of his sins ?

Or vice versa , for example , a stanch archbishop who rapes but dies ( assuming he died of natural reasons ) the next day . Will he be condemned to damnation for that cardinal sin ? What about all his good deed prior to his wrongdoing then ?

Heh , i sound almost blasphemous here.

I can't help but scoff at the ongoing debate over casinos , trust the government to make mountains out of molehills at every oppurtunity .


Remember the time when a few hundred NSmen got called up just to hunt down 3 harmless gunmen in Tekong ? I had a good laugh at their expense.

Come on , building a single casino won't turn our country into hardcore gamblers.

Neither will uncensoring profanities or playing music with satantic themes turn us into a nation of vulgarity-spewing people who worships Satan.
